Hello and welcome back!!! Thanks so much for stopping by!! Today's post is about finding your why. As a newly single woman/mother I found it hard in the beginning to find something to keep me motivated on days when the stress of getting divorced, becoming a single parent while dealing with the emotions of letting go of someone I love, got to be too much. I had to find something that would help me switch my focus from the stress and the pain to the good things in my life. I have tried many times in the past three almost four years to start my "empire" and when I finally made the decision to push forward with it, my brother sat me down and asked me, what my why was. He told me that my why needs to be what will get me out of the bed on my worst day. My main why in life is my beautiful little girl. I want to ensure I am always setting the best example possible for her no matter what the situation is. Seeing her smile makes the hardship of my day worth it. Now I know everyone reading this doesn't have a child, but you still need something that's going to make you fight when things get too rough instead of giving up. In my opinion your why should be something bigger than you or even something outside of yourself. If thinking about it does not make you cry then it is not big enough. For example, my daughter is my overall why. My desire to ensure I am always being an example to her helped me push through getting my bachelor's degree, master's degree, and two certifications all completed while working full time and taking care of her. My new found why is helping someone or people in general who suffer in silence like I did for so long, its the reason I created this site. On my worst day I remind myself that someone can benefit from my experiences good or bad. I try to step outside of my current feeling/mood to shine the light God gave me to help others.
What is your why? If you don't have one take a moment to think on it and come up with a why. Do not wait till your world is shaken up to come up with something to keep you focused. By then it may be too late. Trust me, knowing how rough certain days have been for me, trying to figure out a why in those moments probably would not have been as productive as I would have needed it to be. Take the time today to find your why!! Until next time keep God first, find your God given lane in life (purpose), get in it, and enjoy the ride!! Love God, love yourself, and love your neighbor!! Be blessed!! 💋💋👸🏾👸🏾
